Yoga Retreat: March 2025
Join me in beautiful Tenterfield for a three-night autumn retreat from 28-31 March 2025.
With daily yoga and meditation, nourishing food and opportunities to rest, relax and experience some of the natural delights of the granite belt region, this retreat offers a safe space to breathe, relax, and decompress from the demands of everyday life.
The retreat will encompass:
Daily yoga and meditation
All meals and snacks, lovingly prepared from local produce, plus local wine with dinner
All-day access to water, coffee and tea-making facilities and an abundant fruit bowl
Stunning Federation-style heritage accommodation in the heart of Tenterfield, with all modern conveniences including luxury hotel beds, a large, modern kitchen, plenty of nooks and crannies to hide away and read or relax, wood fire, large verandah and hammock, a spacious lounge room, vegetable garden and outside areas, with the option of sharing a room or indulging in a private room
Hiking in the Girraween National Park
Wine tasting in the heart of the stunning Granite Belt
A massage therapist will be available on-site for part of the retreat. Should you wish to treat yourself, this is an optional (but highly recommended) extra.

THE LOCATION
Centred on the township of Stanthorpe, the Granite Belt forms part of the Great Dividing Range. Our retreat venue in Tenterfield, which was once the home of the CWA, provides the perfect cozy and comfy base to practice yoga, to relax, and to explore the natural beauty of the region, while also indulging in its famous produce.
YOUR FACILITATOR
For more than ten years, Athanae has been teaching group fitness, and facilitating yoga retreats in both Australia and Italy. While working in strategic communications by day, she cut her teeth in teaching Xtend Barre (a combination of dance and Pilates) while undertaking training in mat Pilates and yoga. Employing a trauma-informed approach, her areas of advanced training in yoga include pre and post-natal and restorative and yin. She is currently completing a Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Public Health, with special interest in eating disorder recovery, nutrition for brain health, and nutrition through the post-natal period and in early motherhood.
